Cases for a Cause Mission Statement:

Cases for a Cause, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping Illinois foster children find and preserve dignity by providing suitcases as a place to store, organize and transport the few things they call their own during their stay in the Illinois foster care system.

Update!

As of April, 2008, we have purchased and delivered a total of 800 suitcases for Illinois foster children. We have been able to provide smaller suitcases (22") for the youngest of the foster children, a medium size suitcase (30") as well as our standard size (35") suitcase.

One of the case workers assigned to the foster children recently told us: "The kids understand the concept of the suitcases immediately. Most of them remark that this is the first tangible thing that is exclusively theirs."
